Ruby accidentally joined the Doghouse Girls team in 2009. She started out as just another stray dog in Baltimore City, neglected and abandoned by her original owners. Even with multiple scars on her face everyone says she is a beautiful dog. When Pauline first met her she was in a concrete backyard, lying upside in a card box box sunbathing as kids played around her. Two weeks later after getting spayed and fattened up, she started training for her new job as the official Doghouse Girls demo dog. She responded well to training, the smooch command is her favorite. Two months later she passed her Canine Good Citizen test and later earned her TT by the American Temperament Test Society. In 2010 she had the great honor, becoming the first pit bull dog to pass the Karma Dogs’ evaluation. Ruby is an official therapy dog! Ruby is also the mascot and humane educator with B-More Dog. When not working, Ruby enjoys taking long walks, snuggling, hanging with her current foster brother Fozie and lounging on the couch.
